So I just took my truck on some dirt trails, I noticed the tire rubs with the inner fender a lot. The fender flare is cut all the way/ flush with the cab chop. I have a 3" OME lift with LR UCA, running 285/70/17 Goodyear MT/R. I just cut the bottom inner fender, so now all that is left is the actual body. If this does not work and I still rub on the body, what can I do? spacers? I'm running SR8 rims.

    Spacers would make it worse.

What's the offset on your wheels?

May need to adjust your alignment to move the wheel forward in the wheelwell. However - this is difficult for your typical alignment tech to grok.

Offset is 10mm back spacing is 4.30"
I did notice more spacing between passenger wheel/ fender than driver side

Maybe lifting the front would work as an alternative if I still rub?

Have you folded the pinch weld, done the cab mount chop, or cut enough of the bottom of the fender out? Spacers will probably make it much worse

All of this for sure, and as mentioned above, an alignment to shift the wheel forward would be a good idea. Yours looks to be sitting pretty far back (mine is too, gonna address before next trip out).

Im going to get that firestone lifetime alignment. All this wheeling just keep ruining my alignments. Not sure if it even worth it now.

If anyone is interested I have 4 snow tires with studs with 16" alloy rim. Please PM me with any questions. They are in good condition. I got them with the purchase of an 02 Runner but I have no use for them. I will give a TW discount

Edit: all 4 still have adequate tread 265/70/16

James, with 285s, I recommend doing the CMC mod for extra clearance. Pickup a set of the cab mount plates from Jerry at BAMF. This is the area where it likes to rub when you're on the trails.

Adding more caster to your alignment to shift the front suspension forward a little does help as well. Most trucks can get around 2-2.5* with the stock UCA and over 3* with aftermarket UCAs. Just be aware that adding more caster does change the driving characteristics of the truck slightly.

I just took the plunge and bought one last week. If you go online to the Firestone site you can get an online price for $169.99, which isn't bad. It's worth it and I should have done it a long time ago.

I do have the cmc from Jerry at BAMF, no issue there. Main thing I am rubbing is at half clocked wheel on the body. I'm looking up the pinch weld which some of the guys here have mentioned. Thanks for the input everyone!

I'll be heading to the meet later tonight, so hopefully someone can take a look and see how best I can solve the rubbing. It really it's that bad, it's just know u rub, you kinda what to avoid it.

Fold it over with some channel locks or large pilers before you beat the piss out it. It will make the process a lot faster. Slap some sealer paint on there and call her done.
