I wonder why anyone drives a black vehicle in Florida? Seems like white / silver would be the (not so) hot ticket...

I have found that most cops around here don't want to waste time with illegal window tint as it's only a $15 fix it ticket. I have had to peel mine once but that was only because I did something else that drew his attention and he let me off with the tint.

I put 20 on the front two windows and 35 over the rear windows the read at 21-22% and 50 on the windshield, windshield tint is really not bad at all reduces glare during the day and helps tone down incoming headlights at night

Mine will be at 5% over all sides and rear and 15% on the whole windshield in the next week or two. I only drive my truck once or twice a week and it sets in the yard all week. My interior will be nice and protected from the mid tn sun while sitting out there.

Subbing so later I can post the current regs just in case people aren't aware of what is legal in their respective states.

I love my window tint. Keeps the interior cool and makes it hard to look into the truck.

I have 20% on the front and 35% over the factory tint in the back. I plan on keeping my Georgia plates on my truck so I can keep the tint on it when I move to Alaska.

The dark tent is really unsafe at night. Ask me. I know. Some ahole hit me on my motorcycle a few years ago and he had the dark dark tent. He never saw me and I have 3 lights on the front of the bike!!! Of course he ran after that. So do yourself a favor (or the person that you pull out in front of)....do not go with dark dark tent.

I saw that you were from WA so I figured that there wouldnt be much of a reason for dark tint. In Texas, window tint is a must. Its nothing for it to get over 115 inside my truck in the summer. :bananadead:

I personally like the no tint look, but need it to keep the cab cool.
    Especially here in TX.

I think it doesn't look ghetto as long as you don't go too dark. I had mine match the factory rear tints.

Living in an area where it's 100+ degrees 7 months out of the year, it's almost required to have tinted windows and remote start. Plus I like knowing that other drivers can't look over and see me unless I roll down the window and want them to see me, but 90% of the time I want that is because I want them to see me giving them the bird....idiot drivers

Yes, I would definitely agree that driving with a tent over your truck could be very dangerous. :D

I've had several vehicles with 5% all the way around (35% on the windshield). They were all Black vehicles. I don't know if it's because i'm getting older or what, but really dark tint on lighter colored vehicles, even some darker colors looks tacky IMO, but then again I don't care what other people do to their cars. I just wouldn't like my vehicle to look that way.
