I have always wanted an extremely loud train/air horn setup for my truck. One that has a switch where I could tap in and have a switch for going back and forth between stock and the air/train horn. What all does everyone have?

I don't have one in my Tacoma but I put one in my Scout. I picked the barge horns up cheap at a flea market and mounted under the truck. It runs off the OBA tank with a valve in the cab. It's pretty awesome, crazy loud and will sound for ever!

Ah wondering if there was any posts in here regarding train horns. Always wanted one. Was just looking up the diy PVC train horns! Think ima build one, super cheap and almost as loud as a real train horn! Anyone hear of any members on here that has made one?

That's why I would wire in a switch to go back and forth between air/train and stock! ;)

    Thanks.

Yup. I've always wanted one. :D

Where do you have your air horns mounted? I was thinking about putting mine in the fog light holes on the front bumper.

Hmm, sounds like a good idea, but keep in mind that yer gonna have debris/bugs/rain getting in there too. Screen mesh would work for the debris, but Idk about the water, I imagine it can't be good for it... I'm gonna try to have them behind the grille and point them down at the ground so it echos all around and not just in one direction. I mean their gonna be loud as hell already, but imo that is the best route to go. Keeps water and debris out, sound spread is better, and they're hidden. And from what I've seen 2nd gens have quite a bit of room behind the grille.
Here's a link someone posted in another thread about air horns..
