Does your truck need an add a leaf to be able to sit with a slight take or carry a load whether big or small? Does the back end sag to the point of needing an add leaf?

    Not enough...
I have 3+1 pack. I don't notice a sag, but perhaps a slight lean. The front is higher than the back i think, but i may be trippin. Will measure it for sure tomorrow. I have not cared any load in it yet to know for sure.

When I installed the Baja kit the front was 1/2 inch higher than the back. Installing a 3 leaf AAL fixed it and now the rear is one inch higher than the front.

I would actually say yes it does. I installed the Baja kit on mine and didn't like how low the back sat especially when loaded.

Therefore, I installed the Wheelers HD progressive 3 AAL and kept the overload in.

    I like it much better!

Here is loaded with various stuff with NO AAL

    Yard of Bark Mulch:

Loaded with a yard of gravel WITH AAL:

As you can see, the yard of gravel is certainly the heaviest but sits better than the yard of bark mulch.

Ok ThatguyJZ & Jaymac10, you both have me considering the Baja kit. Is this a complete kit sold over the counter? or do you piece it together? What's the cost? The fact it's OE, has me thinking $$$ Do I need springs & struts? or just the red coils?

    Both great looking truck BTW.

I have a 2013 baja and haven't had any issues. I've loaded the bed and not sagged too much. I've not towed anything though. I will add some airbags for towing in the future, but stock height is fine for me.

You're going to want to check out this thread:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/277344-because-baja-25.html

Not sure if it's still available but that thread is a good start...

But be ready to read a whole lot of bull shit from the 5100 fanboys and Baja haters.

Don't let it affect your decision!

    Cheers,

    jay

Jaymac's response nailed it. I'm very happy with the setup. I got mine thru TRDparts4u.

I have the setup on a 2013 that was preinstalled (Baja). Ive had a 250 atv in the back and its not to bad. Granted thats only like 300-450lbs max. I noticed when I threw a 125 dirtbike in with it. It still held up great, until i got in the back of the truck to unload. So with full gear your looking at 600lbs estimate? maybe. At that point it was sagging pretty hard but not to bad. I have towed a small enclosed trailer with a motorcycle in it and it was fine not bad at all. Setup is awesome, just wish had more of an expedition leaf spring to it if that makes sense. Just my .02! New leaf pack defiantly in my future purchase list
