I looked back over my post but I didn't see that part. What I didn't like about the "previous" mount was that it attached to the cleats. I've got no issues with this mount and it is locked in place and couldn't move it if I tried. One other thing to consider is if I sell the truck and buy a new one the mount will transfer also.

Is it the best mount for everyone? Nope. But it is the best mount for me.

I've got a couple of Voodoo's bed brackets with Yakima mounts on them to carry my bikes. For what I need them for, they work (and look) great!

Icon MT suspension, Pelfreybuilt front bumper, Relentless skids, Avid sliders, Avid custom rack. Pelfreybilt HC Rear bumper.
I had Avid Off-Road build a rck to my dimensions. I was looking for a sturdy rack to put a RTT on and wanted a full 35" heigth between the bed floor and the bottom of the rails. I like it.

$150 is a damn good price! Hell, I've got a little over $500 in mine including the basket. But you're right... Yakima is very expensive.

Well if you have one built you can get it to whatever specs you would like and add any options that you might want. Depending on what you want to do with your truck that would be a good direction to go.

I thought about that but I can't find anyone close that does that sort of fab work. That is one reason I went with my mount because it closely matches what I would like to do and I can add and remove mounts as necessary.

But that said, I would prefer to spec one out myself exactly like I would want it.

I have the UWS low profile toolbox on my short bed. The toolbox is 19.5", will this setup still fit? Im fine with the cargo basket hanging over the tail gate.

Wow that looks familiar. haha... I wrote him an email a long time ago to ask if it was possible to change the design so it wasn't a complete rip.

reviving a thread from the dead and hoe you still post but how did you mount that basket on your bed bars? I just picked up some relentless fab bed bars and want to put a basket on them.
