The 2212s will prob work for the 650 frame, hell I think I seen a vid of someone using them for the tarot 680 frame without issues.
    As far as batteries:

    Boom
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9177__turnigy_5000mah_4s_20c_lipo_pack.html

Only issue is china shipping but I've got about 6 batteries from HK without issues.
    Another option

I only have 3S batteries. I figure I'll just start buying them slowly over time. Then when I'm ready to get the motors it wont hurt so bad.

I do not trust hobbyking from Asia. Twice now I've waited about a month for my orders to arrive. Might be a Canadian shipping thing, but I just can't wait that long, lol.

Just ordered parts for my 680 from HK ... lol, Swiss post was exactly 2 weeks, I expect about the same this time. I should order new batteries too but I don't want to spend the money, like you lol.

I don't have anything but I've been interested for a little while. Is there generally an altitude limit to these? Only because I already live at an altitude of 8000 feet, so I'm wondering how the thin air affects performance.

I don't really think the altitude makes a difference more so than the temperature. I read somewhere you should keep the copter within 2000' of the ground it takes off from, I generally keep it just a few hundred feet at most from me anyway.

I've never gotten anything from Swiss Post. I will only order from HK USA West. I usually get my stuff 2 days after ordering. I just ordered a GPS unit for my Naze32 last night and it has already shipped.

I'm not sure why, but I thought these 4s batteries would be more expensive. 8000 mAh for $58 ain't bad!

I haven't ordered yet, but I will very soon. That's from the HK USA West warehouse. My platinum status saves me like $4, woohoo. I was also thinking about upgrading to these motors as well, Turnigy 650 Kv

Got my first quadcopter this afternoon, it's an Estes Syncro and from what I can tell it's just a white and blue version of the Proto X. Thing is super fun to fly around but takes a real steady hand because the thing moves so freaking fast and the controller is way too small! I already want a bigger fancier one!

The latest build. Hoping to get this one out at least 2 miles and keep it under 80 grams. But that is still a little ways out.
