That looks awesome man, I really wanna do this to my black 2014 because I know it would look sick but im really hesitant about taking my headlights apart. Was it easy to take the headlights off/apart? Also what did you use to black them out? And one more question lol are those HIDs or just some regular blue colored bulb?

In my experience (I can't speak for the OP) getting the headlamps out w/o scratching anything was more difficult than actually taking them apart. I did mine by baking in the oven, but I've helped do ones in the past with a heat gun.

If you add additional sealant, you shouldn't have any issues. I had noticed a small bit of condensation once in my lights but I haven't seen a thing since.

It's 100 times easier than I thought. Only difficulty I had was getting the 3rd bolt on the headlight cause it's up in the fender and you have to feel it to unbolt, not able to see. And I had an extra set of hands from my gf with doing the unsealing and reseal, but i coulda done it alone

I used krylon fusion gloss black, didn't think the semi or matte black looked as natural in a headlight as the gloss does

And the headlights are 55W 6000k HIDs, they're a little more white than blue because they're 55 not 35. And my fog lights are 35W 6000k HIDs, the 55 was too bright in the fogs

So was I, then I read of it doesn't seal correctly, all you can do (not the prettiest fix but not like you'll ever see it) is go by a clear sealant gel and line the rim where it comes apart, and let it cute. It'll seal it right back up

I agree, getting the lights put is the hardest part for sure. And I also used the oven too, just make sure you follow the oven ON/OFF directions cause I've heard horror stories of people messing that up. Otherwise the sealant is always fixable, whether you want a pretty or ugly fix. If you end up with moisture, it's not like its permanent. I live in a dry town, and I used a lot of sealant, so I don't think I'll have a problem.

I just bought a pair of OEM headlights from a member on here. I figure by having another pair already off the truck, I can take plenty of time to do this right.

I'd love to get my headlights done with a retrofit and some LED strips or halos, but i can't justify spending that much money haha
