On my way to work this morning, I switched lanes to the outside lane, right as a roadside duck decided to take flight. I was probably traveling 45 mph. The duck didn't survive. I ended up with a bent/broken antenna, busted windshield, and a nice will chip in the body right above the windshield. What a morning! I'm hoping that insurance will cover the windshield, as it's zero-deductible here in FL.

I actually don't care about the antenna, as I've been wanting to get a stubby/shorty antenna to replace it. Any leads on a good one?

I cut my antenna down to just above roof height. Doesn't seem to change reception at all.

    This.

Had a stubby antenna but reception sucked. So, I cut the OEM antenna down to 13" and reception is perfect. I don't think you can cut much more or reception will suffer.

I have a stubby antenna from ebay. Works great in city the 1 time I tried it. Not so great out of the city. I've only listened to the radio 2 times since I've owned the truck. Shitty audio quality.

I actually didn't say anything, but I see where this could easily go. ^ (I'm not one to react to stuff like this, for some reason)

I would suggest soaking the meat in orange juice for a short period, helps draw out blood and gamey flavor. Rinse well and pan fry with onions and garlic.

I have one of those stubby TRD antennas. I bought it off Amazon for $13. It broke in half when I went to test it's durability. I mended it with marine epoxy and has held up since. Very cheap... Doesn't actually work as an antenna, either. :p I keep the stock antenna behind the seat just in case it breaks again, or just flies off.
