Still mulling over the cap decision ... can you those of you with access cabs and ARE MX or CX caps post pics?

    Thanks!

Lots of pics in this thread: Show me your shell!

I have an MX shell and I love the extra 6" or so it gives me.

    Thanks for the link ...
I've dug through a fair amount of that thread but was hoping to consolidate some pics of the two options I'm deciding between.

It's form vs function ... I like the space of the MX but really prefer the look of the cab high caps. Plus, I'll likely use the rack more than I sleep in back.

I have the CX. I have zero issues with head room and never once wished I had more room. I really like the windoors and the headliner. The drop down sliding front window is also awesome!

If you often put items taller than >31" in the bed, consider the MX. The height from the top of the cap to bottom of the bed at center is ~33".
Something I didn't realize is how "shallow" the Tacoma bed is relative to an F150, so any height issues are compounded a bit with the CX.

Luckily the golden has plenty of headroom in the CX; her crate barely goes under the cap on its side though. (Built a carry box for the crates, easier to secure than individual crates)

I'm debating this same thing right now, leaning toward MX with the baja racks someday
