Here you go - that's some decals for you.. ;)

In South Africa I had a Hilux with decals similar to this - it came standard on the "Action Packet" model. Not everyone's taste, but it is subtle yet distinctive.

Different but similar on the "Raider" model, similar to TRD Off road package.

The weather finally got a bit better, so I washed the truck and took some pics of the new graphics.

I have been a sign painter over 40 years. Back when you had to do good work, or you got no work. Layout and design...with quality execution was good for business. Then in 1995 I had to buy a plotter cause things change. My 2012 has NO graphics. I thought about putting the Singer sewing machine logo {small} on the tailgate....4 banger.....but not yet. Answer to your question: I have never had any graphics to damage any vehicle that I have lettered, when removed. Even if 10 years later. IT WILL LEAVE A GHOST IMPRESSION ON YOUR TRUCK because it preserves the paint under it. But after a few washes and months the swirl marks come in and its ok. Hope this helps...I wouldn't lead you wrong. Put any graphic on you want to try....if you dont like it, let it heat in the sun and it will come off in one piece. Denatured alcohol will remove the adhesive residue with no effort and NO damage. Have your graphics man take a pic of your trk and superimpose your pending graphic on the pic. This will eliminate any confusion on color or size.

So be kind before you go ranting off about raptor graphics, which they are.

The graphics are actually flat black. It's the sunset that's making them look that colour. Normally, they're very subtle.

Local sign shop. They took the original Toyota logo for me:

    TEQ_49d4612a8e811250d199d981083cce67db215e99.jpg

They came up with a prototype layout, which wasn't bad.

    TEQ_zps9cc538df_928504e6cde0c6adcdf8934a354417cc7fd1337d.jpg

As you can see, I ended up having them invert the logo so the lettering for the TEQ came through green.

Creating the decals, removing the old ones, and putting the new ones on cost $150, which probably doesn't seem worth it to some people, but I hated the white TRD decals enough to get rid of them. Besides, they're subtle and only a Toyota enthusiast would get the logo.

Do you have the details of the color/material used for the decal? I really like it a lot and want to add some graphics to my 2013 Spruce Mica Access Cab. I know you had it done several years ago, so it may be a long shot.
