    Hi Everyone,

Finally found a Tacoma that was in decent shape, low mileage, and didnt break the bank. I bought a new 2014 Tundra last year and i love it. Love it so much to where i didnt want to lug my two huskies around in it. So I decided to trade in my other car (BMW X3) for a older reliable truck that i could daily and lug my dogs around.

I finally came across this one. Its a 2001 Access Cab 2.4L 5 speed with only 96K miles. Got it for $6400. Only downside on the whole vehicle is a small dent in the driver fender, but i can fix that later.

Anyways, I love my Tacoma but have a few questions. I noticed that this Tacoma sits lower than most of the others i have seen. Anyone know why?? I plan on lifting it, maybe 3 inches? but wanted to get some suggestions on what kit to get. I just need something that will ride smooth and not break the bank. I do plan on getting bigger wheels and tires, not sure which yet though and later add a topper for the huskies.

Other than the truck sitting low, i think it looks great!

    Thanks,

    Brandon Peck

The ride height is just how the 4 cylinder, 5 lugs came from the factory. As for lifts check out Toytec lifts, they have everything you need at many different price points. Nice looking truck, welcome to the cult! haha

Nice looking Taco! The lower stance is factory on the 5 lug Tacoma. You can definitely still lift it though!
