I currently have Bilstein 5100 all around with the front set at 1.75 with a 1" block in the rear. I have approximately 1.75" rake (the front is at 36.25" and the rear is 38")-- the truck has no lean as the measurement is the same all around with this set up.

I have ran this set up for a little more than a year and I love it, but the rake is starting to bother me. I am thinking of adding a 1/4" spacer on top which seems to be a somewhat popular route for the members here. To my understanding, this will lift my front around 2.25", which is about edit: (thanks jhodge83 for the correction) 1/2" higher than what it is now.

My question is would this be enough to eliminate the excessive rake (I do not want the front higher than the rear--I am okay with a slight rake) or should I remove the block from the rear to ensure the truck will be level/have a slight rake?

I hope this is clear, if not--just let me know.

a 1/4" top plate spacer will give you a total of 1/2" of lift. that paired with your 1.75 now would be about 2.25, or 1/2" taller than currently (not 1" taller). if going that route, why not lift the shock to the 2.5" setting or put on the 1.6" eibach coils at the 1.75 setting?

If you are going to come up to 2.25" you should just get 885s for 2.5'' total.
You could do Eibachs and have the ability to go 1.6" or 2.5".

Like Homer would say, Doh! I don't know why I said 1". Anyway, I don't want to set the shocks at 2.5" mainly because I've heard it makes it a very stiff ride and the eibach coils combined with the 1.75 would mean a new UCAs, which will be $$ that I don't have right now to spend.

885s, billies at 0 you'll be around 2.25-2.5''. Although, yes there is a 50/50 chance of needing UCAs.
Headstrong has a great price on LR UCAs.

I understand that--but TacomaVT said it's a hit or miss and I don't want to spend 5-700$ at this point. I guess I'm trying to take the cheapest fix for now. I didn't think to take the block out--that might actually fix the issue.

cheapest to reduce the rake would be to remove the block. to raise the front to reduce the rake, the cheapest would be 2.5" setting on the billies.

Removing the block it is as I don't want to risk a stiff ride. I will keep this thread in mind when I go bigger (which is what I intend to do once the truck is paid off) as the eibach/bilstein combo seems to be the route I want to take.

Appreciate your help guys. Y'all are awesome.

I thought I would give you guys an update on my suspension. I decided to buy two 1/4 spacers to give my front end a total of 2.25" lift. I went this route because I plan to go a full 3 inches once the truck is paid off and from what I've read, the 1/4" spacers come in handy in giving you the full 3" with the ~2.5" you get with the Bilstein/coil combo. It sits pretty level (front is about 1 1/4" lower than the rear).

    For reference:
