im from nor cal lookin to change a matte black tacoma to glossy white via vinyl wrap, some companies were quoting me around 2200, anyone have any good recomendations that are cheaper or if 2200 is a good price? seems a little high to me but knowing that paint jobs are 6k+ 2200 isnt bad

Plastidip is 100% reversable and vinyl should be unless u glue it or something. YouTube it man.

EBay, it doesn't have to be 3m wrap. There are good off brands for half the price. If your doing a solid color it's not too bad of a job yet still very tricky. I've wrapped my sportbike before 100% reversable. I have the lower vallance on my truck done in the black brushed metallic. Bought 2 5' x 5' sheets for $60. Solid colors will also be cheaper. It's not easy. I could see the 2200 being a good price for 3m wrap and professionally done. The prep and time it takes is crazy!

Go to Hm Dpt or your local auto parts store and buy a couple of cans of spray on plastic coating. It can be peeled off if you make a mistake. Plus you can change the color every month if you want.

$2200 isn't bad. There's a ton of labor involved in taking off the door handles and trimming everything. My friend wrapped his mercedes c-class and it was about $2500 but it looked awesome and the paint still looked great after he took it off 3 years later.

I had some things on my old truck plasti dipped and will never use it on anything large again. Looks good new but that stuff is played out in my opinion. Everyone matte blacks everything now a days. Plus the amount of coats it would take would bring you up to the cost of wrap material. Maybe buy the wrap yourself, do all the easy panels(hood, roof, tailgate, bed sides) and pay someone to do the hard parts.

that's sick, I'm thinking of going glossy white but I feel that glossy white would wear much faster
