    Hi All

I wanted to Thank every body for all the great info I found searching this site for Lifting my 5 lug.

I put Pic in my gallery for all to see and for info for people still looking.

    Details:

Lift: Fat Bob's Garage long AA 2.75 front 1.75 rear w/ longer shocks
    WHeels: Black Rock 909B 15 x 10 / 4" BS / -38 offset
    Tires: Achilles 31 x 10.5 x 15 XMT
Grill: Ebay Billet Aluminum plastic dipped black with suround
    Light bar: Ebay special

Issues: Fat Bob Kit does not explain that you can not just turn the the strut 120 deg to fit the strut spacer, The spring mount on the bottom will hit the lower control arm and the brake line bracket will also hit on the backside

Fix. Mount in the lower arm and use a pry bar to rotate the top mount 120 Deg Spray soapy water on the upper rubber grommet to help it slip around.
The rubber may still bunch up a little on the end of the coil spring.

Tire Rub: No caliper mod with this wheel, Tire will rub the black box.
Fix: Remove the black box. and you will need to cut off the small front mud flap.

Other than that there is no rubbing,

Alignment: Alignment was not able to get caster camber back in.
Fix: Need adjustable upper control arms or camber kit, I have not fixe this yet.

Truck ruts a little on the highway, tires make noise :), braking sometimes will pull left or right probably because of the alignment, Going through puddle on one side will pull to that side.

All in all looks like a new truck

    Thanks again evrybody

Nice truck bro. I like that LED bar. How did you mount that on your bumper?

    Good question.

As you know it is just plastic but if you look where it is mounted there is a metal bracket there.

I located the holes then cut the bottom of the bracket with shears to make tabs to bend forward and I was able to run the bolt through the bumper and the tab bent from the bracket.

The brackets are on the first surface below the grill. it is like a 45 from the front of the bumper.

I did not take any pics of that but if you cant figure it out I will take some when I get a chance.

    Nice !
Did the larger tire size effect your gearing that much?
    Oh, and Welcome

    No,
it is a little more slugish but not bad.

anything bigger would definitely need new gearing

I've done a mod or two
That's one of the nicest 5 lugs I have seen. Really think it looks nice with lift and no fender flares.

I am not sure. It wont fit throuhg the grill so I am going to have to make another hole in the bumper with a gromet I guess.

    Thanks.

I dont like the fender flares either.

I like the clean look without the flares.

Its a bitch to keep clean, a little rain and it gets kicked up on the side of the truck but I will live with it.
