I pulled into a parking lot today and saw an opening next to a brand new Raptor. I just couldn't resist and parked next to it for a few quick pictures.

That was one sweet truck. My wife just shook her head the entire time while mumbling "Don't even think about it."

I hope the owner of that Raptor didn't take a video of an envious Tacoma owner walking around drooling all over his truck.

    ^ :) Nice

That center looks familiar. Either that or all those stores like to stick together around SoCal.

I was envious of Raptor owners until I saw a bunch of old Bronco's leave one in the dust. The Raptor owner broke his Bronco and decided to bring his daily driver to Borrego to play along with his Bronco buddy's. After the umpteenth time getting stuck trying to keep up with the Bronco's he pulled off and headed back to camp. Of course we didn't fail to remind him that his $50,000 truck might need to be traded in on an old Bronco so he could go off-road in the SoCal Desert. My friends worn out 289 3 speed worked circles around the Raptor. The long wheelbase and the weight doomed him to parking in the campground waiting for the after party.

Throw a full midtravel taco or tundy on at least 33's next to a raptor it will size up a little better. A built Lt Taco would shit on a rator and would be cheaper. Apples to oranges and don't want to beat the dead horse. Just a thought.

Whats up with all the hate on the Raptors. If money wasn't an option I would take one. Plenty of power with the big 6.2 V8 compared to us with our V6 that we put mufflers and exhaust on to sound like a V8.

I'm happy with my Taco, but if I just had money to blow I would def get a Raptor.

And theres no way to compare the two trucks. One is a full size and the other is a midsize if you want to say you can build a full LT Taco would shit on a Raptor than a stock Raptor would shit on a TRD Offroad. No matter how you put it, theres no way you can compare the two.

This. That black Tacoma looks way better to my eyes.

And this. I used to think I would consider one, until I saw the window sticker's price and MPG rating.

+1, between the purchase price and the MPGs a Raptor will but a real dent in your wallet. Ford dumped the 6.2 this year. I am sure the new cafe stds. Had something to do with it. Now they can claim the unrealistic ecoboost numbers.

Raptors are nice, but way overpriced. Base F150, 15k in mods and a raptor won't keep up.

I would rather have a Chevrolet Reaper, minus any tacky emblems or decals. I see more Raptors than I can count every day, too played out.

Reaper has 33s on 20s.. raptor has 35s on 17s, I still wouldn't buy either.
