I make holsters and had some black kydex laying around and was bored so this is what I ended up with. Came out pretty good and it's detachable with no permanent mount.ac3fe7b986feaa4220a765dd0d5d9195_42fdbfd75101ba8c48aed439911829cf81bfd36c.jpg

Very secure the kydex applies the tension to the gun and I use heavy duty metal clips with a lip on them to keep it in the truck. Pull hard enough and it will move like an inch but that's it.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Nice job man! I love DIY mods like this

Looks similar to my AG IWB. Wonder if I could modify it to work in that spot -AND- as a IWB holster. Best of both worlds :notsure:

$45 shipped in black. Any other color or camo would be $10 more

I used something very similar on my truck and the clips ended up scratching the plastics.

What about something that is mounted to the dash and clips in and out when you want to remove it?

You could use nylon straps but I can't see a way to not at least permanently mount those hell I could even do kydex ones but they would have to be affixed to the dash somehow. The only way to support the weight of the gun is with these clips I assure you I tried them all and I have them all, I could shrink wrap the clips and that would cut down on scratching and the only place these should scratch is on the inside of under the column where you can't see.

On the depth adjustments I build that into any holster I make and they are spaced for Tek Loks as well if you wanted to put it in a bag or something.

I am in for one with the heat shrink on it to minimize scratching.
