    Brilliant!

I wonder if there are options available at Home Depot/Lowes that may be slightly pricier than $2.25, but when you factor in shipping you come out ahead.

Can anyone tell me if there is a mod for the air vents where I can use the defogger mode and recirculating be turned on? Driving near refineries smells bad.

Also, anyone can tell me what they use to secure the screws on the license plate? The dealer did a crummy job on the license plate holes in front and rear bumper The screws are loose that hold the plates . I placed electrical tape on the ends, might hold it awhile, but I need a better fix (keep in mind that in 5 years I need to replace the plates)

Anytime Fog Light Mod, for now!
I just bought a new 2015 Tacoma TRD Off Road, with one of them touch screen radios in it. Does anyone know how I would get GPS uploaded in it? It has provisions for it according to the owners manual. Thanks for any help.

I just brought home a 2015 Tacoma extended cab TRD Offroad (12 miles on the odometer). Two questions for anyone:

    1. Why are there vents in the right front wheel well that direct water/mud from the tire directly onto the electrical connection to the fog light? Shouldn't the electrical wiring be protected? And what is the purpose of the vents?

    2. My concern about uneven height was resolved. Left rear was lower because right front tire was higher. Thought garage floor was flat, and it was not.. oops. Sorry, Toyota.

    3. I haven't used 4wd yet, and my '89 had manual hubs. Is there any confirmation that the automatic hubs are locked, or warning if they are not, when you switch to 4wd?

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Never had any of these issues with my 09. Probably a slip in the qc.

Mounted my fire extingusher from home depot. Also, the bracket is from home depot, but they only sell it online. It was like $8

    1. The vents are for the air intake
    2. The driver side sits lower than the passenger because the fuel tank and battery are both set to this side
3.It will chime if you go more than 5 mph with the diff locked (not 100% sure on this, I have a 2wd)

In regards to the recirc mode, you can hold down the button to keep recirc on until you turn off the truck - I think you'd have to mod the electronics at the recirc gate (offical name: Air Inlet Control Servo Motor) above the blower if you wanted to make it more permanent.

I've seen a mod to raise your rear view mirror on tw somewhere. I did this quick "mod" and it does essentially the same thing.
