So, I wasn't happy with the clear on the front bumper. I ordered the clear from Automotive Touchups and shot it yesterday. It looks a lot better. I had a couple of blemishes and a tape line I just couldn't let ride.

This time I decided to do it a little different. I sprayed clear on the lower grill. What do you think folks. I like it. It looked dirty all the time before. I'll probably do the fog light bezels soon.

    Take a look,,,,

Pretty nice out of a can. Heck I've seen worse from pro shops with guns before and I do it all day.

It actually was from a gun. I use two part clear and a HVLP gun.

OH well in that case fantastic. My apologies for the assumption. Glad to see a 2k clear going on there. How was the conversion process? I have been thinking about it.

A lot of work but nothing so difficult the mechanically inclined person can't handle. A lot of money though. And I used a lot of aftermarket parts. Once I had the parts, it only took the weekend to do the swap. And that was with breaks and sleep and not being in a big hurry. Wanted to try to get it right the first time.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I love the new model.

No sweat on the assumption, I should have specified.

If you do, be sure to post lots of picks.

Great DIY work, but I'm a be real, not feeling the clear on the lower lip. Kind of makes it look like it's dripping in Armor-All, or tire dressing. But just my two cents.

Yeah that whole shiny black plastic part just looks out of place. My .02 as well. And on that color I think you will notice rock blasts and chips a lot easier.

Agree with OP. With the clear, the lower grille looks better, more like the upper grille insert.

Thanks. I also did the tail light swap to LED's. And most recently I put in Opti7 LED fog lights bulbs. They're OK, but I wish they were brighter. I expected more from LED's, but they are just plug and play.

Thanks for the input. And apples and oranges on the lower grill insert. The truck rarely hits gravel let alone off road. Just not my bag baby, [IMG]

    nothing cool
Wow! Took me a minute before i realized you converted your truck to the new front end. Very very cool. This may sound cliche' but it looks like a whole new truck. (Probably what you were going for huh?). Nice work.

It's my mid life crisis. Cheaper than a new truck. And no truck payment.
