So I just picked up a 2014 black TRD Baja. I was goin to buy a standard Off Road but just got a good deal on this one, and had to jump on it. I love the front suspension, but hate how the rear is about an inch lower than the front, or at least appears that way. I would like to raise the rear 2"s. Seeing that the rear already has those sweet resivor shocks, I would like to keep them.

My question is can I "add a leaf" or just get a new leaf package w/o getting new shocks too? Anyone know how long those rears shocks are? Any advise will help. Thanks.

You could just add a leaf, but i would put it on level ground first and measure front and rear and see what the actual difference is, and press from there

Do the 3 leaf progressive mini packs (AALs) like the Icons. You can get 1.5" out of them and they will ride better than a single AAL.

I have to agree with you how the Baja's have bro lean from the factory. That would drive me crazy too.

You could go the $300 route like I did and throw on some Firestone Ride Rite airbags.

    Hey Guys,
thanks for the reply. I ended up talking to Slee OffRoad who specialize in Toyotas here in Golden CO. I ended up getting a 3" rear leaf spring. Im going to pull out one of the 6 leafs and install. It should give the rear 2 inches and hopefully above to hang onto the orginal shocks.

Ill take pre and post pics, hopefully get them up later today.

I like that idea, my 2013 BAJA already sags in the rear. If I climb into the bed or stand on the tailgate it sags and I'm only 220lbs.

Would the bag setup void the warranty?

I couldn't see how, unless you put 10000 lbs in back and used the air bags to level it an something broke. But at that point I don't think you blame the airbag.

Is there a list and or thread on the site that shows all the things that would void the warranty? Mods or accessory wise?

I added HD rear springs from Northwest Offroad and have been very pleased - now able to carry some weight with no sag.

Warranty doesn't work like that. Anything non-Toyota will not be covered under the Toyota warranty (though it might have its own warranty). Anything the non-Toyota part damages will not be covered under the Toyota warranty.

Also, if a part contributes to the damage of another part, they may not be covered. So for instance, if you put an aftermarket supercharger on, and you blow your engine, your engine likely wouldn't be covered because you added a mod that contributed to the problem.

    Hey Guys,
ended up getting those OME springs in last night. Looks perfect. Did not take out any leafs and its raked slightly higher in back unloaded, which is the look i wanted. Install took longer than i thought but its all good. Ill get some pics up today. Also going to Plaastic dip the front grill and badges. Possibly paint the chrome exhaust tip with high heat black paint as well.
