    - Shipping weight will be about 30 lbs

    - It will be made of four pieces for shipping purposes

    - It is designed to fit in a 36" x 24" x 6" box, disassembled

    - It will be made from 16 GA steel

    - It will be black texture powder coated

    - It will be supplied with 1/4"-20UNC zinc plated carriage bolts and nylock nuts

    - Internal dimensions are 36" x 35" x 6" high

    - Price will be approximately $190

    - It is designed to work with my bed brackets, but can be mounted on other brackets as well.

I made it a little smaller than most commercial cargo baskets, because I don't want it to cover the whole bed. We need to be able to fit things around it, like bikes and such.

    Available soon!!!

i see the conceptual drawing uses standard nuts as fasteners. is there a possibility for carriage bolts to smooth the look?

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Perhaps a way to mount it upside down (to keep the height down) on a rail system mounted to the top sides of the cap and hinged at the front to flip forward over the cab to make a super long roof rack. I don't know and ya, I'm crazy. But you're close, real close. Way to go, Sir.

Internal length and width taken from base or rim?
If taken from base, making the rim more rectangular, is the basket able to be mounted both ways?

Lots happening in the KB Fabrications LLC laboratory tonight.

Cargo basket parts as far as the eye can see.

And beer as far as the eye can see.

I put one together just to make sure it works before they go to powder coat tomorrow.

This thing holds a ton of shit. GIANT ski bag with every stitch of ski clothes that I own, plus a pair of boots in it, four Camelbacks, and a camera bag, and still room left.

The beauty of it is......you can have this mounted on my crossbars, and still have a mountain bike mounted on each side of the basket, on the bars, at the same time.
