I think I sold them on the scenery! I need to see if there's any camper parks near the actual wheeling area. Mark, any ideas? What is there for my Mom and gf to do while me and Dad wheel?

There are several nice campgrounds in town with hookups, BFE is more primitive but also an option. In town there are several things for the fam to do. There are shops for the ladies, there is Arches natl park for hiking and scenery, ropes courses, kayaking on the colorado river, wineries, brewery. Plenty to do

Super bright, those LED strips are garbage. My bed lights made of them ended up in the trash!

They we're sealed up...not a corrosion issue. Just low quality LED's. They started burning out, flickering etc. Not to mention it sucks trying to attach those things anywhere because NOTHING sticks to the silicone housing.

So it's look like it'll be May 26-31 for the event which means we'd be leaving on the 26th?? And also, I know it was mentioned somewhere before but dogs are allowed right?

for in town camping, canyonlands campground is a nice spot...right across the street from moab brewery, showers, pool, shade, reasonable prices...http://moabrvresorts.com/canyonlands/

kens lake is another great spot for campers...won't be in town, but next to a lake...http://www.blm.gov/ut/st/en/fo/moab/recreation/campgrounds/ken_s_lake.html

the koa isn't a bad spot either for campers...http://moabrvresorts.com/canyonlands/

on the north end of town, closer to the colorado river, slickrock campground isn't a bad option...shade, showers and still close enough to the town end that you could walk if you wanted to..this is where cruise moab holds their event...http://www.slickrockcampground.com/

dogs are definitely allowed...i'll have my two dogs with me again...just don't forget a lot of extra water for the little fuckers...

end of may could get a bit hot, we've been lucky in the past, but mid day can get a bit hot under the sun...

plan your activities accordingly as well as you DO NOT want to leave your dog in the trucks during the day unattended!

if you need a dog sitter for the day or even overnight, check out karen's canine campground, http://karensk9campground.wordpress.com/ she has a great spot for dog watching and very friendly...we used her last year and were very happy with the location and her service...
