Is anyone running a 255/75/17 on the SCS Stealth 6 or SR8? I'm not a fan of the pizza cutter look but the weight savings on a slightly taller tire could make them worth while.
I'm curious to know/see if mounting that size tire on an 8.5" wide wheel would reduce the narrow-ish appearance without looking too out of proportion.

I run the 245/75 Michelin LTX M/S 2, I gained 2 mpg average. They don't look all that different from the original 265/70, The weight is why I chose them.

How much different is the weight on the 255 vs the 265?

Depends on the tire obviously. I currently run Cooper AT3s in 265/70. They weigh 41lbs according to TreadDepot. They list the AT3s in 255/75 to be 38lbs.

Thanks for posting the pics Vin. Do you know if the truck pictured is running spacers?

No spacers, but note that this truck doesn't have fender flares.

Gotcha. That definitely makes for an 'extra' wide stance appearance.

Vin, any idea what the largest aspect ratio for 255/ is that would work with stock DCSB OR and SR8

On a 17" SR8, you could run a 255/75/17 which is a 32" tall tire. On that white reg. cab Tacoma, he was able to run 255/80/17 at stock height and not rub for daily driving with the fender liner removed.
