Hello everyone. I'm the proud new owner of my first tacoma. Basically I've gotten fed up with the unreliability of most vehicles and decided to splurge on something bulletproof. I picked up this 2002 double cab with 148k miles and in immaculate condition. As you can see by my user name that I'm a jeep guy (regarding 4wheeling). As much as I respect toyotas capabilities off road, this truck is going to be a daily driver pavement pounder only seeing the occasional mountain logging roads.

I thought I would post some pictures if how I decided to mount up my Sirius radio. I spent quite some time searching for ideas but couldn't find much for 1st gens so this is what I came up with.

I wanted it down low and out of the way. And yes, I'm using a cassette adapter for the audio and it actually sounds much better than I thought it would.

I used this mounting piece that came with a newer Sirius radio and mounted it so I was able to clear the power ports, shifter and ashtray.

Yeah my next project is doing the whole audio system. New head unit with upgraded door speakers with an amp to power them. Also thinking about a small 8" woofer.
So Ive owned this truck for almost a month now and I'm absolutely in love with the thing. Its the perfect daily driver for me and is quickly proving to be my best vehicle investment ever.
