    How are you allowed to have pics such as your avatar or signature with political things in it. I do not appreciate seeing pics badmouthing Obama when I'm looking up truck info. If your gonna ban something ban it!

    i agree with chris here. its one thing to have a discussion/debate on politics. but if i want to post an anti-obama avatar i can, just as much as you can post a pro-obama avatar. as long as its not dirty or mean it should be ok

    That's pretty much the nature of American politics though, isn't it?

    I think you have to differentiate between stuff like "Obama is a doodyhead" (offensive) vs. "I disagree with Obama's position on tariffs." (unoffensive - even if it does not match your opinion.)

    Anyway, why not just keep it in the Off-topics forums - aren't those fair game for anything? I agree, if I am looking for advice on tire fitment, I don't want to see either of the aforementioned Obama statements, but I might enjoy some give and take on the oh-so-fascinating subject of tariffs in an off-topic post.

    I think this applies for just about anything - if I am looking for info on how to wire a stereo in my truck, I don't want to see people giving opinions on the best cat food for Fluffy.

    Relevance is what it's all about!
