Scion iQ what are your thoughts?

 

if I needed a tiny car, this would be it. however, I don't.

 

I drove one for a couple of days (while my father's Tundra was getting the coating done on the frame), and it really wasn't too bad. The highway is scary, but for around town, its fine. I was also able to do a burnout in it !

 

I don't think it offers much over a Prius. Any sort of collision seems like it would be a nightmare... One good thing about a truck.

 

I can't believe that thing has back seats. For the price, I wouldn't buy it. You can get a compact car for the price of that subcompact.

 

should've said, if I lived in NYC, this is a no brainer. i'd have one in a sec...

 

We did buy it, installed cruise control (for some reason Scion did not put cruise in the iQs), deleted the rear seats (not really needed and adds close to 50% cargo) Got fog lights and rear sway bar on the way. Wife likes it and is enjoying modding it And it gets almost twice the MPG that the Taco gets.

 

It's not my style, but hey..props to Scion for trying something. They seem to sell decently

 

On the days I use it, it feels odd getting into it compared to my truck. But it drives surprisingly well. Looks small but has plenty of room inside
