Thinking about doing a complete coolant change and wanted to drain the block as well as the radiator. Saw the information on the 6, any good write-ups on the 2.7? Mines a 2007 2.7 4x4 base. Thanks in advance.

The engine block coolant drain is on the passenger side lower, toward the front. 10mm wrench opens it. Don't retighten too much because it's brass or another soft metal. Looks like this:

There are write-ups out there but really just drain the block and radiator, and refill with SLLC. It's a self-burping system so check the reservoir bottle after a few heat cycles.

x2. It's not hard to find, just look in front of the oil filter up under the exhaust manifold.

IIRC I could see it through the fender so I knew where to look once I got under the truck.

Super thanks guys. No need to remove the skid plate right? Thanks again.

It's accessible without removing the skidplate, but from below it's easier to get to with the plate off. I'm sure it's fine either way
