After lurking on this thread for a long damn time I finally pulled the trigger and got a cap.

ARE MX with sliders on the side and windoors. Yakima locking rack, carpet top and 12v light inside.

So far so good. I love the cap and the windoors are the best thing to happen to caps. I always hated loosing access to the front of my bed.

Thank you to you all that have posted up your setups. They have really helped with this.

I think the windoors are going to be really convienent. I ordered a snugtop with windoors on the advice of people here. Nice cap!

Yea I drill through the cap to mount the Thule racks. It all fell into place after that. I extended the two bolts to mount the pod lights, then after a while I had the idea to swap the rest of the bolts for eye hooks inside the cap to attach the cargo net.

The cargo net I have now sags a lot holding weight so I gota look into a better one but for now it does the job. I also keep some extra bungees up there, it's a nice spot up out of the way.

I used fist grips bolted in the bed channels.

So I have this shell that came with my truck. No badges or anything on it. I'm wondering if maybe some of you could guess what brand it is? It also looks like the roof rack mounts were added on later, but I'm not sure. I'd like to know how much weight the rack can hold, and I figured it would be best to start with figuring out what brand the shell is. Here's some pics. The side windows just slide, window in the front slides, and there are no lights or anything special inside the shell.

From the shape of the indentation on the cap, I would say that the brand is RANCH. I had one on my Dakota and it was a great cap. I bought in in Garland Tx., don't remember the name of the dealer but it should be easy to find on Google.

It wasn't purchased locally. The truck came from Chicago. That would have probably been worth mentioning. I'll look up that brand though! Thanks for your input

I think Rick06 is right. Looks like a Ranch Sierra by Ranch.

    Was it Feagin Toppers?

Looking at the Ranch site, it looks more like the Fusion model because the Sierra model has two knobs to open the rear window where mine has the one in the middle. Thanks for the help! Now to find out how much the roof can support....

Edit: of course it doesn't say

I think you are right. The pic I looked at was from a dealer's site, and didn't show the back glass.

I got what I've been searching around for! I've been mulling a few options over but finally found this ARB CX on Craigslist and made a little mountain bike trip out of picking it up a few hours away. Its got sliding windows, racks and hopefully Windoors to come!

Nice shell. I'm waiting on one I ordered a couple weeks ago with windoors. Hopefully it's here next week.

I have a new DCLB. I ended up with maybe an 1/8 inch of sag nothing noticeable.
