    The man knows he's right.

I may be slightly biased, though, having my own DCLB.

I had a DCLB and I didn't like how it drove and how much of a pain it was too park some times. Plus the mileage was worse than my AC and it looks way too long for how narrow the Tacoma is. But I do love the 6ft bed!
But that said, I now am missing the interior space of the DC and am going to be selling my AC and getting a DCSB. Im going to just deal with having a shorter bed, I can just get a bed xtender. :)

Fast question on access cabs since I don't want to start a new thread for something stupid:

Do all SR5 access cabs have factory tint on the extended cab portion?

All tacomas have factory tint on the rear windows and any rear door windows. So yes.

Thanks, though I have seen base models with regular glass, so I'm still not sure about the SR5s all having it.

May be a state to state thing. Maybe some states or dealers don't sell vehicles with tint or it has to be way light. :notsure:

Might be due to your state/area/dealership :notsure: but every tacoma that i have ever seen in person has some sort of tint

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Amen, DCLB is only a whopping one foot longer than a SB, ohhh wow must make it so hard to park! My old lady can parallel park my super cab long (8 foot) bed Powerstroke and back a trailer. If she can do that, I think an average guy can handle a DCLB no problem.

Its the extra foot in wheelbase that makes it harder... not the one foot in length

Id love to see anyone parallel park an 8' bed supercab in a city....
you simply need more room then you have in one lane with cars going by.
not to mention 95% of parking spots aren't long enough to fit the truck if it were on dollys

Yeah, every Tacoma I've ever seen wasn't tinted. Either way, ALL Tacomas do NOT come tinted from dealer or factory was the point.

I went with the AC since I wanted 6sp manual with lockers and long bed while the DBLC does not have that option.

Is there any reason why Toyota doesn't make the DBCL long-bed with 6sp manual and lockers?

Yes, there is a reason. No one in their right mind would be a DCLB for it's offroad prowess (which lockers only come on the TRD Offroad package). A wheelbase that long makes for a poor offroad experience.

    Example #1... http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/trip-reports/348932-sos-report-full-story-5.html#post9337900

He makes a point all through that post about how his Dad's truck (FRV) is too damn long for the type of offroading they're doing.

An extra foot commonly is the difference for me between being in a parking spot and hanging out over the edge. It is the difference between me fitting in the garage or not. It's also the difference in the above post between making it down a trail without body damage. One foot in the wheelbase makes a much bigger difference than you might think.
