Just bought this bad boy a little over a month ago. Now I want to build this taco up. It currently has no mods done to it other than a bed cover and a couple stickers I got from Moab :)
Currently it is stock. 2.7 liter 4 cyl 4wd. I bought it at 70k miles for a screaming deal!

    Ideas for build:
3" lift (possibly) Any good ideas?
    Push bar and nerf bars
Bigger tires to fill the wheel wells
    Fog lights
I'm pretty much open for any ideas. If anyone has any ideas of what I can do or where I can get the stuff listed above for a good price let me know thanks!:)

    • Save your money from the nerf bars and get sliders! Much better for trails and they are a lot more functional than nerf bars.
    • As for push bars, idk. I dont like the look but you can always get some sweet offroad bumpers!
Bigger tires to fill the wheel wells
    Fog lights

If you have any more questions fire away!

Where would I be able to get slider bars? Or would I have to make them?

There are many vendors on here that make sliders for us and most offer a TW discount.

Some good ones that come to mind are:

    Relentless Fabrication
    B.A.M.F
    4x Innnovations
    CBI Offraod
and many others that I can't think no of right now

Check out the vendors TW page and online website.

I don't know if I would want to weld those on in case I need to take them off or they get damaged. Do you make a bolt on one?

I would recommend OME for the lift. Or if you have a little more money you can get coilovers for the front and OME rear suspension.

Awesome thanks for the ideas! I think what i'm going to start out with after looking around on the site a little more is a satoshi grill and some retrofit lights.

If you have any questions on a Satoshi or retrofit, I've done both so I could answer any question you have!

Here are the rims powder coated. The tire is a little dirt but that can be cleaned easily

Hey, we all started out as beginners!

I fiberglassed the top and bottom. That being said, I wouldn't fiberglass the bottom if i were to do it again.

    Instead i would either:

Cut off the bottom middle mounting post and sand the grill inside smooth so you have a smooth edge. Even when cutting out the top two grill mounting posts the grill was very secure, I couldn't imaging cutting the bottom one off would change how secure it was.

The other option would be just to leave it, it wouldn't look bad leaving it. Its about a 1cm x .5cm rectangle it would leave.

I just wanted it to look smooth. If i were to do it again I would do one of those options.

thanks for the advice! I've never really done any fab work on cars before so it will be a fun experience. I'm thinking of just buying another grill online and use that so I don't jack up the grill I have on it haha

I love waking up in the morning and seeing this sight!! giggity
