I know most of you guys tend to just use a mallet to pound out your balljoints and tie rod ends. I want to get a pitman arm puller. What size should I get? The one I'm looking at from napa is up to 1-5/16". Does that sound right? Will I be able to use it on tie rods and balljoints on my 2009 tacoma?

For Tie-Rod Ends I usually use a Pickle Fork

Can you RENT a tool from a local auto store??

I've used a combination of things on our Jeep (along with A LOT of PB Blaster).
For the most part, this worked the best for us. You just have to make sure its the right size (durr). It was cheap...but...I didn't care. Only needed it ONCE.
