Don’t let your gear get stolen out of your storage compartments. Replace the stock flimsy plastic doors with these steel locking doors. Never have someone wander off with your tie-downs, shackles, tow strap, etc. again.

Fits all 2nd Generation Toyota Tacoma (2005-2015). Trucks with 120V bed outlet need one (1) Long door for driver’s side and one (1) short door for passenger side. Trucks without 120V bed outlet use Long doors on both sides.

    • 12 GA. Steel
    • Tough Texture Black Powdercoat
    • All Steel Lock w/ Two (2) Matching Keys

Couldn't someone just undo those screws and pop the entire storage compartment out?

Sure, but if someone wants in bad enough they'll get into anything. I'd imagine the average thief isn't walking around with a torx bit handy.

Why put locks on a vehicle, when someone can just tow your truck?

Why do you park in a driveway, but drive on a parkway?

for some this might be a worthwhile mod but for me personally, if someone is wanting my 2 dollar bungee cord tie downs bad enough they're welcome to them.

    Beat me to it.

Arsen, with the door locked, does it wobble much?

True, but 2min and a screw driver you couple pry it out without taking out the torx screws. The doors look really clean, I'm just thinking what I would need to lock up in there. Having locks would draw attention to it by a potential theif.

If there was a way for the latch to be in the center and slide rods up and down so they would catch the backside of the bed it would make it much more secure. Just an idea, not bashing your product.

Edit, just looked at the picture again. They would need to go side to side and the spot for 2x6 lumber is directly above.

Trust me when I say this, I spent HOURS trying to make it work with one lock and the existing slots and just could not get it. It is just too expensive to do this and a PITA.

True, but some may keep stuff a little more higher end than bungee cords.

I keep shackles, ratchet straps and duct tape in one and the other side is my either a tongue with 2" ball or my recovery tongue with d-ring. Those items I'd rather not have to replace often if they kept getting stolen.

That is my concern also, which is why I am considering the Tuffy box, where the mounting screws are covered by the door.

Have you ever tried to take those screws out? A simple screw driver isn't going to cut it. I had to break out the impact driver.

I'd be more worried about someone taking my wheels then the box.
