This is an odd request, but I am wanting to purchase a scooped hood and bumper for my '13 to have them painted to match my truck. I drive a sr5 prerunner and my painter is requesting me to give him a Vin# for him to make sure he is looking at the right part, since I have a non scooped hood. I gave him the part numbers for the hood that I am wanting, but his supplier is requesting the vin. I know this sounds odd which both him and I agree so I wanted to reach out. If you drive a '12+ in a trd sport (ie. a scooped hood), could you send me your vin # via private message? I will only be using it to make sure everyone is on the same page with part numbers. Again, I know this is a long shot, but thought I would try. Thanks.

Your vin # is specific to the vehicle you own .In other words ,everyones vin is different .
Its located on the inside of the drivers door and viewable from the dashboard on the drivers side .
Check your truck for TSB,s... Check for TSB,s http://www.toyotaproblems.com/tsbs/Tacoma/

I beleive what you are looking for is the paint code and the scooped hood which can both be found in the parts list in the link below .Sorry , this was just a copy and paste of some info I had in another thread .At least I provided some usefull information for you unlike the idiot a couple posts down

Type in your VIN # here and see what,s been done to your truck at the dealership
    http://www.toyota.com/owners/web/pages/home

Type in your VIN # here and see if there are any safety concerns or recall,s on your truck
    http://www.toyota.com/recall

Here is a complete parts diagram with prices .I suggest downloading it all before it disappears . [IMG] 2013 Toyota Tacoma Pickup.pdf

Well op wants the vin so the shop can pull up the right parts for it. Using a sport vin number will come up with a hood skewp. All dealership require you have a vin to order parts from them
