Help on Purchasing Fully loaded Tacoma w/SuperCharger!

Vehicle demand doesn't have as much to do with finance rates (unless you are looking at only financing through the manufacturer's finance group) as you would think. When I bought my truck back in Feb, I ended up at 1.49 for 72 mos without a down payment qualifier.

I have a really high credit score and I shop rates like I shop for vehicles....aggressively. You can negotiate rates as much as you can negotiate the sale price of a vehicle. Also, don't fill out credit apps everywhere you go.

 

Seems like a good deal to me. I think the JBL system is a little overpriced for what it is. I saved that $2000 and for that going to get a hell of a lot better sound system than what comes in there, even with JBL.

The supercharger is awesome. I'm just going to say that. I loved my truck then threw the SC on last week and now I love it more.

 

El tardo sounds like he knows what he's talking about. My first job out of school was selling cars. I did it for 2 years & it was some of the best education I ever received. I didn't sell 1000's in my time, but I did well. I have also personally bought 8 new vehicles for myself over the past 17 years and I've yet to be upside down in any of them. In fact I've steadily built equity even though I trade them every couple years.

 

I got the best price from Toyota of Escondido. Not all that far from you. I would call Thomas Nguyen in Internet sales and see what he can do about ordering the truck for you. Good luck

I waited to install my S/C after I had a few break-in miles on the Tacoma.

I believe I had about 740 miles on the odometer when the puffer finally got installed.

Night and day difference. It changes the entire character of the Tacoma.

 

When I checked with my dealer (about 2 years ago). The flash was sold seperatly and it was $400 on top of the uninstalled $4000 S/C price tag

IMO the S/C is not worth the price and not a smart purchase for the average person using their truck to get groceries and go to work.

I guess my snowmobile and motorcycle and my boat are not smart purchases either? It's either pay all that money for toys or pay all that money to a shrink. You ever notice that there are not many motorcycles parked outside a Psychiatrists office? Open up that wallet and enjoy life my friend! You never know when it's all going to go FUBAR.

Yes I do! 300hp! I do not get groceries, and it only sees the parking lot at work maybe twice a year. And it didn't cost anywhere near $40000. And it is payed for!

 

Solstice is an old lady car.

 

The GXP is the turbo charged and intercooled option. GMPP tune, and some other goodies, bumps it up to 300hp! Corners like its on rails. Seven speaker sound system. Permagrin every time I get behind the wheel! The sig pic is from last summer on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
So to sum it up. Her car gets the groceries. The Taco does the heavy lifting and hauls my butt to work. Solstice is for fun! And my retirement is funded

My dealer quoted $4400 and I install it. How did you get it reflashed?
