I posted in another thread regarding the Toyota Service Campaign for the rusty frames, and I'm currently waiting to hear from the dealer to set up an appointment to have my frame inspected.

Well today I replaced the rear gas tank strap as it was almost completely rusted through. I replaced the front gas tank strap this spring as it had broke!

Here is a picture of the new strap and the bracket on the passenger side of the truck. When I tapped the pin to get the old strap off, almost half of the bracket that attaches to the frame fell apart!

If you look at the frame to the left of the new gas tank strap, you can see how rusty it is. This is a 2006 Tacoma with 128,000 miles.
