Severe Weather thread.

Almost 70* here today. I'm in the 5-8 swath.

 

X2 on the temp. But 1-3" range. Local news is saying nothing about snow. So I don't expect anything.

 

Somehow I missed this thread. Nothing too exciting going on in NE Oregon. Rode my motorcycle to work this morning in 27F, I guess that was kind of exciting.

50mph wind gusts ripped off my SIL's gutter and facia. Only thing weather wise around here right now.

We recorded a 56mph gust in NE Oregon today. The rain hasn't arrived yet.

Yeah, I've seen that map before. If it's right, that looks pretty nasty.

 

These forecasts for the bay area are unreal. There has never been such a storm in this area after such a long drought, which to my mind translates to trees toppling, homes lost to landslides, rivers breaching, levees breaking, and a second disaster for Napa within a year. I hope it's hype like someone said, but I don't think so.

 

We're getting hit today with storm 4 of 4 consecutive sub tropical storms coming up and making landfall across the coast of BC bringing high winds and in some areas like Port Alberni on Vancouver Island , 190mm of rain in 72 hours , that's 7 1/2"
