    In the Market for a smaller light way generator that I can use on camping trips and while I'm out wheeling and exploring. I have been looking at the Honda 1000 and 2000 and will probably get one but I came across this one today in the 4wheelparts catalog. It's a smittybilt generator 2600 watts peak. Just wondering if anyone has heard any good things about it or not. It's a little cheaper than the Honda ones so I was wondering if it would be worth it or not?

    you should ask the question if it stops working are parts available. if it was me id buy the honda unit. they are very reliable and parts are readily available

    +1 for a small Honda. I use them at work almost daily and they never break down. Never issue's starting, even in the cold and rain.

    Yeah I'm 99 percent sure I'm still gonna go with a Honda. But just came across this one in the catalog and thought it looked well built and was wondering if anyone had any input. Thanks for the response guys.

    Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
    I have had very good experiences with the small 2000W Yamaha generators. Same idea as the Hondas.. very good product and readily available parts if that day comes.
