I realize they're not very popular, but to run 235 or even 245 tires, the manufacturers state that the widest approved wheel you can run is 7.5. Trouble is I can't find wheels this size anywhere. I'm sure one is out there somewhere, but already my choice of wheel is extremely limited.

Is anybody here running this size of tire, and if so, what wheels are you using? Or is that wheel spec just a "suggestion", and it would be okay to run 8"?

    Gracias.

The first gen tundra/sequoia rims are a 17x7.5. These ones:

also the 4Runner Sport 03-09 wheels are 17x7.5

Very interesting. I assume the only way to get these is to track down a used set?

hence why I put TRD Sport :)

but you could always get some of the newer 4Runner wheels that are 17x7 and they would work fine. thre are 3 that are 17x7 and the Trails (8 hole) are the only 7.5
