my 2002 tacoma suspension is pretty blown, i have a 3 inch lift and it bottoms out on speed bumps etc.

most of the boots are leaky in the front suspension.

basically want some help with what to get. i have bilstein in mind. no more than $200 budget.

my brother said 2006 tacoma front shocks would fit 2002.
    is that true?

let me know if anything should be made more specific. thanks

rear suspension is fine, its lifted 3 inches.

Sounds like you might just need new shocks/struts for your truck. What brand lift do you have? When you say the boots are leaking, are you talking about the boots over the struts, or CV boots?

You should be able to replace the struts in your coilovers for around $200, if you can do the installation yourself. Wheeler's has Bilstein 5100s for $173

I have no idea if shocks from a 2006 (2nd gen) Tacoma would fit on your 2002 (1st gen), but I'm guessing you'll want to go with something that's made to fit with your truck and lift combination.

    This.

Go with bilstein or OME. I just put on bilstein 5100s with the stock coils on the 2nd setting and it rides great. You could probably use the coils you have on that lift and bilsteins and be happy.

Our save a little more and get 5100s and eibach coils for the full 3in lift and a good ride

i got that, from what I've learned mixing and matching different lifts doesn't work very well.

    Read here:

    And here:

Personally i would throw away the spacer lift and get a suspension lift but that costs some $$

On the cheap the 99 4runner coils and bilstiens. I got the coils from rock auto 40 sum bucks. You want the 16 inch rim option ones. 600lb.
