Dealing with distorted images is a thing of the past. You could hillbilly something together for sure. Shoot, an Iphone and a gopro would work out quite a ways, and if you had some sort of bluetoooth booster, maybe further.

Yeah if I could get the wirless to work that far deffinatley. Don't laugh but have considered a drone to fly down and look, you know one of those quad copters with a GoPro on it, but it would prob be like an hour before we would have a flying target and so on!

Unless you've looked through one it's really hard to explain how awesome an impressive spotting scope is. Being able to track the round's path of flight as it curve's in on target is one of the coolest things I've seen with my own eyes in RL. For the competitive stuff we did it was paramount to be able to call a shot exactly right in split seconds each time, hit or miss. Sometimes the misses are difficult depending on the backdrop and weather so being able to follow it's flight path is very important. Being able to start your call out before the round even hits or misses the target is a nice luxury out in the field. If you're just poking holes in paper out in a field with some buddies disregard everything I said as a $5k spotting scope is pointless. :D

Yeah if the lighting is just right I can see the vapor trail, it is fun to see. Would like to start pushing out to 1000 yards. I'm not shooting Fclass or anything but take pride in being able to place a cold bore shot on target first shot of the day at 500 yards. I use nightforce and millet scopes and would love a nice spotter but this remote camera is interesting stuff, wish I could figure out how to make one.

What do you folks think of the PF-9s?

I've been doing a bunch of reading. The woman works downtown and often super late and she doesn't carry because none of her pistols are compact enough. Here in AK, during the winter it gets dark at 3 PM and I would prefer her have something. I've read a few forums and all the people that have owned them love them. Anyone else have any other input before I get it for her?

I think everything needs that break in period, I was almost disappointed/upset with my DDM4V9LW when the first time i took it out it wasnt loading the first rounds properly on fully loaded mags, after two mag its was sliding way more smoothly

I've heard the higher end hand-fitted 1911s can be a pain until they get loosened up too. Maybe one day i'll get to find out.
