So I'm a little confused. Searched through the forum first. I currently have 5100 @1.75 with tsb rear. I'm looking to get Eibach springs and set them @ .85. This should give me an inch lift in front with no issues??

depends on the part number of the eibachs. this coil is advertised to give 1.6" of lift on a second gen tacoma: http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/ToytecEibach-front-coil-lift-springs_p_14.html and if you look at this coil, it's advertised to provide 2.5" of lift. http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Toytec-3-lift-front-coil-springs_p_1205.html

that would be with your 5100's set at zero, or the lowest setting. i suppose you can get the 1.6" coils and set the 5100's at .85 to get about 2.4" of lift. it looks as though the 2.5 coils are a 600 pound rate while the 1.6" coils are a 620 pound rate.

i'm wanting to do something like this with my truck but i cannot decide until i do some more research. good luck!

**EDIT, the 2.5 coils say 620lb rate in the description but the part number ends in 600. i'd call someone to confirm that.

Oh I wasn't aware that there was two types of springs. Now not sure what one to go with. Maybe someone who has the 3in ones can chime in as all I've ever noticed on here were the 1.6in ones.

I have the 2.5" eibach with 5100's. With a steel skid, and aluminum plate bumper (no winch yet), I get 2.4" of lift from the springs, with the 5100's at zero.

I am pretty sure the springs are 600lbs. Website says 620, but the spring itself ends in 600 sooo??

Overall, great ride. Much much smoother than stock TRD OR coils preloaded at 1.75 setting. If you need, I can get some hub to fender measurements.

i just got through dropping my 5100's back down to 0" from 1.75". it seemed like i was really starting to notice stiffness in the shocks and i was ready to install a proper suspension lift instead.
in the end i settled on and installed the 3" toytec lift.
you guys are also correct with the springs. they sell a part #112-620 which is the 1.6" of lift and the 600 spring which is the 2.5" lift coil.
as far as my initial impressions, i have nothing but positive things to say. i installed the entire lift myself with hand tools (no air tools) and being i added the lean corrector and top plate spacers i also installed a pair of total chaos uca's.
after an alignment the truck drives perfectly and i have no vibrations whatsoever.
after experiencing 5100's preloaded i wouldn't do it again. it's a quick fix and the truck's ride comfort suffered because of it.

thanks kumz and taco libre. i'm thinking i will also go with the 600# 2.5" coils with 5100's set at zero. add a lean spacer and the icon 1.5" progressive AAL's and i should sit very close to level.

both of you guys had off road coils up front which will behave differently than my sport springs being preloaded. i'm torn between installing my 5100's now at 1.75 until i acquire the rest of the parts i need for a full lift or waiting.

    for sure man.
i should mention, the reason i know the part numbers result in different spring are because when i bough my lift i also bought a set of 112-620 coils for my brother's sport. as soon as i mentioned i was going to ditch the preloaded set-up he jumped onboard as he wasn't completely happy with his at 1.75" either.
like you said though, if it gets you lift now while you collect the other parts it isn't the worst thing.

That would be awesome if you could provide the center hub to fender measurements! You got 2.4" with just the springs and no top plate spacers right?

    I think I'm going this route. I'm currently running 5100 at 1.75.

I know this is a late response, sorry.

I put the 521600 springs on my DCSB this past sunday.
5100s right is in bottom slot. Left is in .85 slot (1 up) to compensate for lean. I did not install any top plate spacers.

Left center of Hub to Fender : 22.25"
Right center of Hub to Fender: 22.50"

    I have a 31M battery weighing 78lbs btw.

I had TRD OR springs in until these. Ride comfort improvement is amazing.
I best describe it that nothing inside rattles anymore and the water bottles don't make shake noise in the door cup holders.

    I'm pretty sure I'm already at 22" with just 5100 at 1.75.

You're using the Eibach 2.5" or the 1.6"

The 521600 is advertised as the 2.5" spring.
I was also higher with the TRD OR springs at 1.75...but the ride on these is SOOOOO much better and smoother.

I'll add top plate spacers soon but I have to change the top hat to longer lugs first.

But again, the ride provided by these Eibach / ToyTec 521600 springs is far superior to the TRD OR spring on a 5100.

I'm confused as to why you did not get the advertised 2.5" of lift! It almost sounds like you got the smaller springs.

I would think that setup wouldn't be too stiff. Could be the added spacer causing the rough ride. I'd ask Toytec about the swap.

Add the top plate spacer this weekend.
