My key has 100% the same firmware as the OEM remote.

So ask yourself the question... Can I remote start with an oem remote? If yes or no, that's your answer.

I have seen aftermarket remote start systems that are triggered by hitting lock three times with the oem remote.

So basically my key is your Toyota key and remote duct tape together... But looks a lot prettier.

Installed a new battery and have tried it over several days and a variety of temperatures (gotta love Tennessee weather)...

Results - if you have a range issue, check the battery! I grabbed a Energizer CR2032 from a local big box that has decent turnover of button type batteries, and am now getting a decent 30-40 feet of unlock range (OP is correct - hold the button for a decent time).

If it had already unlocked the passenger door... The problem is your driver door actuator.
The Keyless ecu only opens the passenger door when it receives two good signals.

Please keep up posted to see if your actuator jams again.

As stated above mine works. But its intermittent and has a mind of its own. I can confirm that a full 1 second click opens the drivers door 100% of the time. Now ontoo the other doors, I generally have to click/hold multiple times. I would say with a success rate somewhere around 45%. my passangers usually stand and wait on me to click until it opens. I often just use the hardwired door lock. Overall I not 100% happy.

    bottom line:
Does it work yes. Is it perfect like a factory key no.

I do plan on sending my key fob back for trouble shooting.

DK2006 problems can't possibly be the fob. The keyless ecu will not control the actuator unless it gets a good signal. So the fob either works or not. Actuator getting stuck or not working properly has nothing to do with the fob.
In some cars(Lexus especially) if the driver side actuator starts going bad, it will disable the keyless system. Had a client which everyone told him he had a bad fob(even the dealer). I did a test of his OEM key fob with my equipment and it showed the frequency and modulation was correct. Noticed driver side door actuator was sticking a bit. I took it out and it was soaked in oil. Customer kept spraying it with oil when he first noticed sticking...eventually it shorted out.

Pcyc...Still waiting on your circuit board. I will compare signal from your board to v2.

Talked with the engineer about some of the issues people with v1 have reported. He finds it strange as v2 is practically the same except the parts are organized differently. I did mention that most v1 were shipped with defective batteries. The v2 have shipped with original batteries and not crappy chinese cells. Videos I posted have been v2 with high quality cells. He mention the range will never be as good as oem as the oem has a bigger circuit board. The board is what is used as the antenna...

Here is me testing the opening of the passenger doors...

Request for flip keys is ridiculous. I get PM and emails about them all the time.
My supplier MIGHT make this design for the 2005+ Tacoma

I bet we could hit minimum order if we put it out there. I'd definitely order two flip keys.

I would end up with 2 of each. Really, I prefer the other flip, with less bling on it. VW style. If anyone has one they are not using, Let me know. Could offer a huge discount on my boxes I make for people too in trade or whatever we work out.
