WHEN i get my truck lol i am planning on doing the full ome lift with the 882's and no campershell with heavy weight in back only once in a while. Do you think i will sag with the shackles that come with the lift? Should i get the aal? 1" lift shackles? 1.5" lift shackles to achieve a level position? Any help from anyone is appreciated!

I think you will likely be just under or at dead level. The good news is, you can add lift shackles stupid-easily later if you want that extra inch or so. And for the occasional load I'm sure you won't mind that the butt end is a little droopy :)

This is the 10mm spacer I was sent. I might have screwed up but is this one I can use?

    Thanks

Well I talked to wheelers today about ordering the full kit with the AAL and he said that it will have a rake to it. He said if I want it level I need the front enhancer kit to go with it. Is this true? I don't mind having a real slight rake but I don't want my rear sitting up to high. They don't have the AAL in stock right now and said they should be in around the 1st so I got a lil time till I order. I just want to know if the enhancer kit should be thrown in when I order everything in Jan.

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
I think you'll need a full 3" lift up front especially if you have them install the AAL. So yes you'll need the lift enhancer on the front for the OME springs.

Also, depends on how much weight will be in/ on the bed.

At first the springs will give tons of rake but they settle after a couple weeks or so.

I run a full time topper on the bed so it always has the extra weight. that's why I was adding the AAL. I do tow a trailer when I go camping but that's only a handful of times during the year. So most of the weight is from the topper. I don't mind having a rake with the bed a little higher, im just scared that if I get the enhancer kit my front will be the high side of the rake and look all out of whack. I just want a good level stanced truck

I just picked up a 2001 regular cab this week and it is ugly right now. I am wanting to put on a OME lift but have questions with which coils (881, 882, or 883) to use. I would like to have my truck sit level with maybe slight rake. I do plan on adding an ARB bumper and my m8000 warn winch. This however will be several months down the road and I don't want to purchase another set of coils when I do purchase the bumper. I just retired my 94 Toyota pickup due to frame issues and swapped over my 33 10-50 KM2 to my new Tacoma. It is way to much tire currently and rubs pretty bad. After reading this entire thread I think I will go with wheelers complete kit. I know a lot of these questions have been answered but the majority of the trucks have a 3.4 and are double cabs. My question are

*will the 883 be to much with 2.7 engine?
*Will I run into any CV problems with the 883 on my truck
*Will that complete kit clear 33's
*Should I add anything additional to the kit?
*Will the Dakar's in the back be enough or should I look at AAL too?

    Thanks for the help

    Welcome to TW :)
Bear in mind there is really no way to say flat out what is best for your ride.

CV angles vary by truck. You may or may not need the diff drop kit. I think it's a cheap and mildly effective way to help the angles out.

I'd recommend an extended length rear brake line. Don't bother with the fronts unless they are bad.

The AAL depends on what extra weight you will be carrying, I don't think the topper is heavy enough to sag the Dakars alone, and you can add longer shackles and preserve the ride if a little extra is wanted. Opinions vary on this one.

In my personal opinion, I think 883's will be too stiff with a 4 cyl reg cab. Even with the ARB bumper and winch. I'd consider 882's. Same ride height with a softer ride.

You can clear 33's without the lift, even with the lift you still have to do a little clearance on the front fenderwell pinch weld. You front wheel travel/range of motion does not really change with or without the lift. But it looks way cooler with the lift.

    Thanks! Yours also!

Did you take the leaf pack out to install the AAL or try to slide it in while still on the truck?

Tried to slide it in, but ended up just pulling it out completely. I'll finish it up tomorrow. I run a bed rack and RTT 24-7 so I figured I'd put them in so my leafs don't start frowning from the constant weight

-question 1 is a tough one as the 883's are stiff even with the 3.4. Adding them to a 2.7 might be unbearable without that bumper and winch and might sit too high as well. I personally think I'd go with 881's and buy the 883's later if needed. Swapping them on these trucks is super simple and any shop suspension shop will swap them on the struts for about $25. youll always be able to sell the 881's here if needed.

-Dont really know the long term effects the lift will have on my CV's but I did the Toytec diff drop to minimize the angle. If you do this (and I recommend you do) plan on a good skid plate to protect the diff and mounts. Skid row makes a serious piece that is a direct Bolt on with the diff drop.

    - I'm running 32's and it's really close to the pinch weld. You might need to flatten the pinch weld but otherwise you should be ok.

    - I'm not sure what the kit includes but I ended up buying extended brakes lines front and rear. Fronts were not really needed but my stock pieces were shot so I did the extended braided all the way around. You will need a brake proportion valve relocation bracket for the rear. You might also need shims for the rear axle and a carrier bearing drop IF you run into driveline vibrations. When you order the kit make sure it comes with all new bolts and bushings for the rear springs as I had to cut off a couple of mine and putting in new at these points make good safety sense.

    - I personally feel the dakars are plenty for my truck right now and I have a leer topper full time. If I need more I'll do it shackles. Every AAL truck I've rode in rides terrible so my personal preference is the shackles for the extra inch if it's ever needed.

Ride quality is definitely on the driver. I'm running 883s with a V6, ARB bumper, trail gear rear bumper and winch. I have camburg UCAs (these really helped out) and I like the way my truck rides. I didn't want to have any issues with my coils especially since I'm adding sliders and after market skid plates.
I thought the dakars were fine in the rear and the kit I got from wheelers came with extended rear brake lines.
I do have some rubbing with 31x10.50 w tires, but only when im making sharp turns; but I also have 15x10 wheels with 3.6 backspacing and -46mm offset, so that could be part of the issue.
    ID also recommend greasable shackles.
I didn't need to relocate my brake proportioning valve, but each truck has its own inherent idiosyncrasies.

@ griff: Rubbing on a 31?? Where is it rubbing??

Those arbs are supposedly pretty heavy, plus winch. I'll be interested to see how that works out, and which coil you use.

Maybe start with 881 and see where you sit once all of the weight is added. From there you can decide if taller coils are needed, or just a small lift enhancer spacer.
