So since I'd only need the frame and deflector PC'd it'd save the ~100 bucks to upgrade. Seems like a no brainer to me! Thanks! Hoping tax season treats me well!

So just to make sure we are on the same page here is a pricing breakdown (Shipping not included):

$435 - Bare metal rack (Side plates, and deflector are raw aluminum, standard bars are clear anodize

$500 - Powdercoated side plates and deflector, clear anodize standard bars.

$537 - Side rails and deflector are raw aluminum, HD bars with black anodized finish.

$595 - (This is where the price break happens) Side rails and deflector are powdercoated, For the crossbars, stnadard bars powdercoated are the same price as HD black anodized so the buyer can get either at this price, although I am not sure why anyone would get the standard bars.

Zach, which pelican case do you have up top? I think it's been asked recently, but couldn't find the answer. That case would be perfect for recovery gear.

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
I just bought one the Plano Cases. Couldn't justify an extra hundred dollars just to hold straps and d ring type stuff that used to just get tossed in a bag in my bed.

70 dollars gets you a pretty decent case for up there.

Check out the Plano cases. No wheels and it is listed at $70 with $15 off via Amazon...no brainer for me.

That's a good idea. My plan was to have all the gear in the box and only put it on the rack when I'm headed to the trail. The box should hold up well as most of the time it'll be inside. I'll see what they have.

Yeah the plano case is good too, the pelican is obviously more durable and sturdy, but definitely more expensive. I got the pelican because it was only $169.95 at the time. I kept the foam and sold it locally to a guy that wanted multiple foam inserts for different rifles on a case he already owned. With the money I made on the foam and the low price for the pelican it ended up being cheaper than the plano.

I have no idea when that $15 off ends so hop on it at 55 bucks...it was as high as 90 in the last month.

Yeah it was 99.95 when I bought the pelican. At 50-70 it is definitely a better option for recovery gear.

Yup, it's showing up at the $70 price point for me. Trying to convince my brother that he needs to buy it for me for Christmas. :D

Put it in the cart and it goes to $55. That is a steal at $55. I am thinking of getting one for more storage over the shell. Wonder what the $15 off is.

    Zach,
Is there significantly less wind noise with the new cab rac rails and the new air dam vs. the original generation ?
