has anybody successfully hooked up their oem tailgate camera to an aftermarket deck?

I currently have an 05 Tacoma and already am using an aftermarket camera on the license plate frame but wanted to use an OEM camera built into the tailgate. I picked up a used one and was wondering about the OEM 4 pin harness. I already have the the power tapped into the reverse light along with a video cable for the aftermarket camera.

Would anybody know if this is what I need and if so, is $50 about the going rate for this?

A few mods here and there and counting....
From what i recall, you do you need a step down converter as the oem camera uses 5v instead of 12v.

You can do this without having to rewire from the tailgate back. There is a connection plug behind the front coin holder flip out pocket and you can tap into those wires to send a signal to the aftermarket head unit. I have this done in my truck. I will say though that those wires are very small and a pain in the ass to work with. I have abnormally large hands so that doesn't help, but yeah, kind of a pain. There is a writeup on here somewhere on how to do it, I just can't remember where.
