    Hi, newbie here.

I have searched the forum with no success.

I am looking for where I can find brembo blanks for my truck. All I seem to find is blanks for 2wd not 4wd.

04 SR, 3.4, manual. Any help is appreciated as are other rotor recommendations.

Why not upgrade to the tundra brakes? I performed this upgrade on my 2000 4runner and my 04 tacoma. Easy bolt on upgrade.

    Thanks for the info.

Not interested in the Tundra swap. Overkill IMO.

I've considered this. Which Tundra brakes did you go with since there are two variations of them. I remember back in 2002 when my Tundra had a TSB performed, they swapped the rotors and calipers to larger ones.

Also has anyone added the Tundra master cylinder? I would imagine the bore size of the master cylinder is larger on the Tundra. I have read that people have a lower pedal with the Tundra brakes since the calipers take more fluid displacement to bite.

I have the 199mm's on my 00 4runner and the larger 231mm's on my 04 tacoma. Never had to change the mc's on either truck. On the tacoma i had to purchase new banjo bolts from Wheeler's offroad. I upgraded the tacoma to stainless steel brake hoses too. Wheelers offroad sells the banjo bolts and hoses in a kit. Both size calibers cleared my oem 16" alloys. The tundra kit is a awesome & easy upgrade for both vehicles. I just purchased a 3rd 4x4, a 02 4runner and i'm about to upgrade the brakes on that as well.

Are these the hoses your referring to? Are these compatible with all the 231mm calipers?

I hope to be upgrading to tundra brakes in a couple months.

the tundra upgrade is a little overkill unless you tow, OR, or drive like a bat out of hell :)

    Amazon sells them

here is Brembo's support page for our year

I actually went with EBC rotors/pads when I re-did my brakes in September, have no complaints. my stock rotors lasted me 10 yrs and then had some warping.

The Amazon link is for a prerunner which is 2wd and mine is 4wd. Are the rotors the same?

    The brembo link doesn't work.

yes rotors are the same (6-bolt)

I searched by info http://brembo.mycarparts.net/ and just click the links for your model. They all give the same results you just have to make sure to pick the one for 4wd OE replacement (there are 2 versions but doubtful you'll need UV coated)

The earlier tundra's had the 199mm then Toyota upgraded them to the larger 231mm. I can't recall the exact years but I do know newer tundra's are now 5 lug so obviously they won't work. Use the search bar, a lot of info here about this swap.
