Hi. I bought my 2003 v6 4x4 around May. I recently took it out and used the 4x4 for the first time since I bought it. Did light off roading at holy Jims in SoCal. Nowhere notice that my front diff is leaking from both axles. was wondering if this is normal after not using it for so long or if I would need to replace the seals.

Read one post that said it may be build up from mud covering the breather causing the oil pressure to force the fluid out though the seals.

I've done this for Hondas before. I'm guessing it's rhr same process and I would have to remove the axles? Hoping not.

yea first gens are a little different than second gens, but you should have to remove the wheels, disconnect the spindles/tie rods/sway bar ends and move them out of the way, then pull the cv's, pull the seals, install the new seals, and put it all back together.

edit: just checked your pic in the op... its leaking both sides? not just the drain or fill bolt? could it be that its just loose?

yes, it's leaking both sides. I haven't ever done anything with my front axles or diff since I bought the truck in May 2014. Is there a way to tighten the axles in?

This is the leak on passenger side.
