Hey guys I am trying to install my onboard air and I almost have enough room but this is in the way. I don’t want to relocate it without know what it is and what it does. I can’t seem to find it on any of the parts breakdowns. It is on a 2012 4.0.

I am looking at the rectangle silver box.

I don't have one? Maybe someone else relocated it to that spot.

I guess maybe I need to look as I think I might. I just don't recall seeing that. Hmmm.

Good Info. Thanks DD and Blacktaco!

I don't mean to hijack this thread but since the OP seemed to get his question answered already I thought the information provided here would be helpful in answering my question. I have a 2012 Off Road with this same air injection pump driver. I bought this truck as a wrecked re-builder and have now gotten it to the point of licensing and driving it. One issue I have is that the battery will go dead when left sitting for more than about 6 hours. I have traced the draw to this pump driver. If I unplug the power to the driver the battery does not go dead and all seems right with the world except I get a check engine light. If I connect the power to the driver the heat sink portion (the silver colored part) gets hot and stays hot even with the ignition switch off. This would normally tell me the driver is bad but I don't know if there is a switch somewhere between the ignition switch and the pump driver. Anyone here have knowledge of this system?
