Just posted in the Expo thread but whatever. My setup over the past week, it packs under the softopper. I planned on putting it on the roof when I got to Moab but I broke the zipper on the travel cover so yeah

That is a good looking rack! Not going to lie I really like the new silver color they have for the Tacomas. The silver streak is too light for me but the newer ones are sleek.

I'm currently using Scott's rack over my cab. Thanks again Scott & Prinsu.

I just bought a Bestop and was figuring I would have to get a bed rack that went over it. Where do you put the soft top when you have your tent deployed? What kind of bed rack did you get? Sorry for all the questions but I never even considered a rack under the topper with the tent. I really like that idea.

Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
I'm sure it's been discussed, but is anyone running a solar panel setup? Like to a battery in the bed or something for aux. power?

I don't know much about solar yet and how many watts I will need but I am looking at this kit

It looks like a good size for my roof rack, puts out 100 watts and comes with the charge controller.

Possibly. It would just trickle charge my second battery and free up some more power from my alternator

Yes. I have the 3 HF panels and have no issues with them and leave them on all the time.Check out the build thread.

I actually thought of mounting it flush between crossbars or on a slide under them. Then I could just slide it out at camp.

I would just buy the pannel and get a MPPT controller you will get more out of your pannel.
