I installed a new lift on the front and when i hit a larger bump on the road or even offroading I get some really sharp and rigid impacts. The truck rocks a lot from side to side as well making it a bit uncomfortable compared to the stock TRD Bilsteins. It almost feels like its bottoming on metal. You hear a pretty loud knock as well.

Does anyone have any idea what this may be? Springs too stiff maybe?

Bilstein Adjustables with Eibach springs (600lb)
    AllPro UCA's with 1" Uniballs
Stock Bumper (For now until I can recoup some $$)

Sounds similar to my ride quality, I'm running the adjustable 5100s and 620# Eibachs. The springs will soften a bit after a few weeks of driving but they still sit pretty high. How do the uniballs look at ride height? Not familiar with AP's arms but as long as they aren't binding at droop it shouldn't be a mechanical issue

    Edit:
For reference, these are 1" uniball arms w/ 5100s and 620# Eibachs @ ride height, passenger side so slightly higher because of the taco lean

Should it be any concern for the Lower arm bracket? It just seems like it is stiff at random times and has a really hard hit hitting bumps. It could be the Uniball binding cause it feels more like the noise comes from the spring unloading.

Here are some photos at ride height:

And here is the ride height.

I found one of the problems. The left side Retaining Nut on the CV was not tight enough so it felt like there was a really bad wheel bearing. Would explain the clunk when turning over a bump. Tightened it down and no longer having the problem from what I can tell.

With that being said, I'm still getting a clunk when braking. The front loads and as it unloads there is a clunk in the front left that I can feel in the footwell. Any ideas?? I checked all the bolts this time to make sure everything is tight.

Check your sway bar end links. Mine broke after I lifted it so I removed the sway bar completely. The eibach 600 lb springs are designed to be used with weight in the front. My truck was also really stiff when I put those on. I since have added a heavy duty bumper and winch (about 200 lbs) and its wayyyyy more comfortable both on the road and on the trail.

    Thanks guys for the help!
Turns out one of the bushings wasn't seated correctly. Finally got everything sorted. Do you guys know how much of the fender I should be trimming to keep it off the tires at full tuck? I'll skim the forum some more but figured i'd ask.

I think i'm going to just pull the sway bar off until I get at least a bumper on the front as I can tell its really stiff and putting strain on the Joints. Worst thing is there is too much body roll and I put it back on.

On the fender trimming... At the back and bottom of the wheel well there is a raised portion of the plastic fender skirt. Under that is a pinch weld that sticks out about 3/4". Do what ya need to to get it bent over flat. You'll have to trim the plastic there too cause if that's left the tire will grab it too ripping it apart. Search pinch weld mod for more info.
If you take off your sway bar I bet you never even think twice about putting it back on. It rides soooo much better and now that you have new good coils the body roll though at first will be noticeable but not a safety issue. Then after a while its just becomes a normal handling characteristic of your taco. Then you'll be asking yourself why did I leave that thing on for so many years??
