HELP!! Total Chaos UCA

I bought a used TC UCA from a guy here on oahu.
Tried to put it together to see if everything is working but run a problem.
The sleeve adapter that goes on the bolt wasn't sliding all the way in.
The guy said to hammer it down but didn't want to cause bigger problem.
Did you guys have problem like this with your UCA?
What can i do to solve the problem?

(1st pic) As you can see the sleeve adapter is stuck between the smooth part of the bolt and the misalignment.

The inside appears to be rather beat up already... Hard to say from the picture.

Try and get a close up of the inner bore.
